Muskrats are eroding my pond banks!

In marshes, muskrats live in muskrat huts.  However, in North East Wisconsin muskrats often make their den in the banks of ponds and streams.  Every day muskrats enlarge their bank dens, moving yards and yards of dirt to the bottom of the pond. Here are some pictures of muskrat damage to shorelines.
